Frequently asked questions:

When are the match times?

  • The fall league will start on September 8th and go until October 30th. Each player will have 2 sessions per week. 1 match against another team and 1 team practice. The practices will be on Saturdays at 11:00am and the matches will be on weeknights. When you sign up you can chose between Tuesday, or Wednesday for your match day.

Does my child need to have already played squash to join the league?

  • No, the league is open to beginners who have never played the game.

What equipment is needed to join the league?

  • We provide loaner rackets for new players and ask that everyone has their own set of eye guards. You will also need non marking indoor shoes.

Is the league only open to Calvert students?

  • No, the league is open to all players!

If my child has never played squash should I get them on court before the league starts?

  • It would be beneficial to join a clinic or book a lesson beforehand to get down the basics of the game!

Will my child be put against players much better or worse than them?

  • We do our very best to assure players will be matched with equal level players throughout the league. That means boys and girls will be mixed together.

What if my child can’t make it to a match?

  • We understand that kids play multiple sports and sometimes will need to miss a match. Patrick will do his best to add play time hours for missed matches.

How long does the league run?

  • Our Fall session will run for 8 weeks
